JOB INTERVIEW

OBJETIVE: In this  interview, we pretend to identify  which are the competences that  an international  bussiness profesional  needs for  getting a leadership job  in a company goverment.

DEFINITION: The selection interview can be defined as a formalized communication of interaction through the language, usually between two people (interviewee and interviewer) where there is an exchange of information through questions, demonstrations, simulations or any technique that allows categorizing and evaluating the suitability of a candidate for a job

DESCRIPTION

This activity is a job interview in which we developed in the past simple and develop 5 exercises in relation to the interview.

INTERVIEW

KATHE: -Hi Peter how are you? Why you look so happy.?

PETER: Hi Kathe, i am excellent i have just had an interview for the job of my dreams.

KATHE: -Really ? How was it ? but let me know what did you study ?

PETER: Ok first of all i studied for being an international bussines professional and i study some languages such as Italian, English and Russian.

I applied for having a job in the Russian Government, it was a great experience i was working for the Colombian International relationships ministery, The ministery received a letter from the russian governmet that said that they were looking for a person who were born in Colombia, spoke Russian and had at least a MBA in Administration.

So i was presented by the colombian goverment to the russian.

I had the interview today. I took it in the embasy.

I was interview by Ivan Ivanovfth the russian embassor in our country.

He asked me if i was single or married and he ask me about my family too

In the profesional side he asked me where i had studied, which had been my goals in the university and what had been my experience working with goverments.

After a large conversation he asked me the reasons i wanted to work for the russian goverment so i replied that since i started to study my degree i wanted to work with the russian goverment because i fell in love with the russian culture, music, way of thinking and country.

And i told  him that i had a b2 level at speaking russian.

After that he told me the whole things and activities that i had to do and it is possible i will have the opportunity to travel to russia « the country i have always wanted to go »

After that he said to me that they were gonna received more people until tomorrow and they will choose the best candidate.

And thats all.
